Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani as well as a Peruvian Muay Thai MMA fighter as well as a mixed martial artist who is currently fighting in the flyweight division of UFC. She is the younger sister of former UFC Flyweight champ and the fellow UFC competitor Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko's professional career in combat sport started with her debut as a Muay Thai fighter. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title before being defeated by Suzane Mller by unanimous vote. Antonina received a gold medal in 2007, a silver medal in 2008, a silver in 2007 and she also won a bronze medal in 2008 and a medal gold in the year 2011. She was also crowned IFMA World Amateur Muay Thailand Champion in 2016 by the IFMA. Antonia began her professional journey at the age of 23 in 2003. She has won several championships, including the World WKC K-1 Light Welterweight Championships Lion Fight Lightweight Championships, and WMC as well as Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina's final bout took place in the Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. She won via unanimous verdict. Antonina Schevchenko kicked off her professional MMA career in 2002 after a win over Anara Baanova at the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She went 3-0, after winning the second-round TKO. The next two fights were won at WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. Shevchenko committed herself to kickboxing, and took a long absence in MMA. She returned to fight in 2017 and faced Anissa Hasdaoui. Shevchenko won against Anissa via unanimous decision before prevailing over Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. The promotion ended in the year 2018 and joined Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina's striking skills were superior and let her TKO Nievera via knees in the lower body. Antonina accepted the UFC invitation following her win. Antonina Shychenko debuted in the UFC in the TUF Heavy Hitters finals, where she faced Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi by a split-decision fight, after prevailing in the initial fight by an unanimous decision. Antonina bounced back from the defeat and beat Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke submission and earned the prize of the night during the bout. Shevchenko lost to Katlyn as well as Andrea Lee in three of her subsequent fights. She won over Ariane Lipski, but was also defeated by Ariane.
