Kim Delaney has won Emmy Awards for the role of Detective Diane Russell. Her roles include All My Children Philly CSI: Miami and Army Wives. Born as the only daughter to a top executive from the United Auto Workers and a household worker, Delaney grew up with her four brothers. In her early years she longed to be an official in the courtroom. However, after graduating from high school and moving into New York in the 1980s and began to model, she was hooked. In 1981, she appeared as an innocent teen in All My Children. Delaney's career has been filled with numerous television films and dramas. She has not had a good or satisfying personal life. The actress, who is gifted and beautiful, has battled alcoholism before. She has also had marriages that ended in failure twice. In 2005, she lost custody over her only son.
